Ultrasound-Guided
Diagnostics
Dr. Black has extensive experience in diagnosing various conditions of the musculoskeletal system and peripheral nerves. She can perform static (holding still) or dynamic (movement) evaluations which can give different perspectives of what is causing a problem.
When performed by a well-trained individual, ultrasound can give more detail of soft tissue (non-bony) related pathology (problems). This may include small tendon or muscle tears (especially with dynamic evaluation), inflammatory processes, foreign bodies, calcifications, tendinopathy, tendonitis, and much more!
team physician
sideline coverage
Not accepting team physician or sideline coverage requests until February 2025. Depending on coverage type some payment may be required.
Comprehensive Evaluations
Dr. Black has an intense curiosity and tenacity that has led her to helping many individuals decrease their pain and get closer to reaching their individual goals. She takes from her experience as a family medicine physician and her fellowship training specializing in orthopedics, movement disorders, and sports medicine.
She does not perform primary care family medicine any longer. But, if she discovers an issue that falls more under primary care issues, she will work closely with your primary care physician or provider to make sure you get the care you need.
Diagnostics ordered may include labs, x-rays, MRI, CT scan, EMG, and specialized movement analysis.
