Brief Description of Payment Options:
I will accept cash, most major credit cards, and personal checks. There is a cash discount (other options require fees) of 3%.
Payment is required prior to services rendered. No payment plans.
Private Insurance: I will not making any claims for insurance of any kind. This is due to the high administrative costs and yearly decreasing insurance reimbursement to the physician/facility. Sadly, our current ‘insurance-based medical reimbursement model’ does not allow private practice physicians, such as myself, to practice to the fullest extent of our expertise and be able to ‘keep our shingle up’.
CMS/Government Insurance: I will be opting out of CMS reimbursement in 2024. Unfortunately, due to government regulations, I will be unable to treat CMS (Medicare or Medicaid) insured patients until late fall 2025.
The DSC vs Insurance trade-off: More time with the physician. You actually get what you pay for. A physician that is not burnt out! I am able to offer treatments that insurance does not routinely reimburse for and no added time to wait for prior authorizations for in-office evaluations and procedures.
Can I submit for reimbursement? Absolutely! Though this will be on your own; you will be responsible for submitting claims and paperwork to your insurance company. I will provide the most appropriate CPT and E&M codes in a superbill format. Reimbursement cannot be guaranteed and will likely be considered ‘out-of-network’ and be applied to your deductible.
